I am thinking about changing from my Canon Digital Camera, to a Digital SLR camera, for beginners, what camera should i purchase and why?

Your budget is..? More or less than 500$?

Here are the models I recommend:
- Canon EOS XS
- Canon EOS XSi
- Canon EOS T2i
- Nikon D3000
- Nikon D5000
- Nikon D90

The T2i, D5000 and D90 have video recording.

What is the best digital camera out there?

I am looking for a really good digital camera that an amateur like myself can easily use.
I prefer something from Canon, Nikon, or Samsung, but I'm not too picky about the brand.
The price doesn't matter as long as it's not too expensive.
It needs to be something that doesn't die right away, and I would like it to be pretty small.
