Answer
My answers is yes if they use paypal.
Keep in mind that ebay DOES favor buyers. Use an escrow like paypal and you should avoid getting ripped off.
We all had to start with 0 feedback. You as the buyer have the upper hand. Paypal will not release the funds to new seller until the buyer leaves positive feedback which means it is easy for the buyer to get a refund. Unfortunately, some buyers will scam the seller because it is so easy to get their money back and keep the item. But doing that will put up a red flag to sellers regarding that buyer and they may not sell to them.
Get the buyers phone number. Email them and ask for it, and maybe call them before you bid to see if they are real.
It does not bother me at all to receive a call from a potential buyer who wants to bid an item.
Just keep it honest.
