I'm kinda lost here.. I want to be a photographer.. like take pictures of scenery and of life and all that.. but there are just way too many cameras to choose from.. so does anyone know an extremely good camera that's also very affordable at the same time.. thanks. i would totally appreciate it
Well, i want to be a photographer just for fun! i don't want to make a career out of it- no way.. but i want to make it a hobby.. i don't really want to go to classes for it.. i just want a suitable camera.. i mean, i have had experience with film and photography... but i want to do something more personal for myself.
thanks for your answers i appreciate them.. but i don't know much about cameras to begin with.. that's why i'm asking.. like i'm not sure what's the best type to get.. okay, i'm someone who just wants to go out and take a pic.. like always have a camera on me.. like those portable ones, you know? but my pockets don't run deep... soo.. i don't have enough money either.. well, if you have any further suggestions please suggest them to me.. help a sister out
Answer
I agree with the suggestions that you should consider a larger camera, such as an SLR design. There are also many mid-level EVF (electronic view finder) design cameras that are excellent and may be just the thing for some one like yourself who wants a serious camera - but not too serious!
Consider the links below to Popular Photography magazine. One is their list of "digital super-zoom" cameras; all-in-one designs with excellent picture quality, advanced features and powerful lenses.
The Editor's Choice is for the Olympus SP-550-UZ.
If you like the idea of an SLR design with the ability to change lenses, there are many choices. The entry-level Nikon D40, D40x and Canon Rebel XT are good choices to consider. Sony, Pentax and Olympus should also be on your list of brands to check out.
Do you have any friends with SLR cameras? If they have a collection of lenses you could borrow from, that would be a great way to start!
