canon digital camera 60d image
Tresflip
Hi,
I have a Canon 60D digital camera with 18MP. I am wondering what would be the best program for viewing the pictures that I take and for printing from. I am not talking about editing etc, just for viewing and printing from.
Answer
to get the best from your camera you should shoot in raw mode, then use adobe photoshop to 'process' them, rather than saving in jpg and letting the camera do all the guesswork. it might take a bit longer but the results are much better. if money is an issue get gimp 2, similar software but free!.
you should never shoot in raw and then print though, as these would be unprocessed images and could look worse than jpg versions. to start with shoot in combined raw+jpg, process the raw and compare to the jpg.

What do all the numbers mean on SLR cameras?Which is the best one?
Catherine.
I am looking to buy a Canon SLR digital camera and I understand megapixels but dont understand the other numbers like the 18-55mm or whatever. What should I be looking for? Larger numbers?
