What should I look for in a camera? (megapixels, zoom, flash....so on)
I want a good quality picture; clear, nice colors... etc.
I want a camera the snaps fast and has good options.
Basically like those professional cameras, but cheaper and smaller.
Any suggestions? (Needs to have a rechargable battery, I don't like the ones that you need to buy batteries for)

Canon has always been a great company for me. Check out the "elph" series, they're pretty nice. Just make sure not to get fooled by the "digital zoom" nonsense. Optical zoom is what matters, digital is simply enlarging the pixels; you can do it on your computer when you upload them.

Anyone have a Canon PowerShot SD890 IS Digital ELPH digital camera? Thoughts? ?

I just got one today as a replacement for the SD 630 I think it was called and wanted to know what people think of it. Oh and if you know anything cool about them I would appreciate you letting me know because I hate reading owner's manuals. Thanks!

The SD890 IS is just another one in a long line of Canon's very cool, ultra compact cameras. I would advise you to read the User Guide, thoroughly. How else will you learn to use all it's features and functions, etc. Surely you can't expect someone to tell you how to use it for you?
I would also advise you to attach the wrist strap and always use it, because it's your insurance against permanent damage if you drop it (these little cameras can get a bit slippery at times). Also, you should buy a snug case to protect it (and especially the LCD screen) when you're not using it.
Check out the review links below. They walk through the camera's functions etc...and may help you learn all it's secrets.
Hope you have lots of fun with it...and if I didn't already mention it, READ THE MANUAL!!!!
