I'm looking for a new camera and I've always been a big fan of Sony products, my mom has a Canon Powershot and I had a Sony Cyber-shot T70 I think, both camera are nice. But I want your opinion.

For the most part, the quality of the image is essentially the same. Sony actually makes Canon sensors for the most part. Sony does use a better quality lens through - Ziess. They've been making glass for a long, long time. So if you're in the market for good glass, make sure that the sony you're looking at has Ziess written on the lens.
Canon's lenses are really think glass almost plastic material.

I wanna purchase digital camera. but i m confused little bit, that which is best Canon, Sony or Nikon? plz pull out me from this confusion.

depends on what type of camera you are looking for..
If its a point and shoot I would go say 1. Canon 2. Sony 3. Nikon... if its DSLR then its a toss up between Canon and Nikon and Sony is third place... if its just who makes the best sensors, then its a tie between Canon and Sony and Nikon is a distant third (most high end Nikon DSLRs use Sony sensors)... Canon and Nikon are really good at the lens side of the business, Sony on the other hand is very good at making sensors but pretty weak at the link between the sensor and the lens.
