I have a PowerShot A40 Canon digital camera, and I need a driver for Windows 7.?

Golden Are

I got the camera used, so I have no instalation CD. And Its my only digital camera, and I need to get the driver...

Answer
Canon does not make Windows 7 drivers for the A40. Neither does Microsoft. It is too old, circa 2002, and Canon (like everyone else) provide poor support for equipment more than 3 or 4 years old.

I recommend you follow fhotoace's suggestion and use a card reader. Its has other advantages over directly downloading from the camera, including greater speed, and less chance of loosing data. Be sure any reader you buy works with Compact Flash Type 1, its the type of media your camera uses. Most multi-card readers will do so.

where can i download drivers for windows xp for canon a620 digital camera?

You can go to canon's website and get the driver there.
