I would like to buy a Canon camera, not a big professional one, I would also like to know which model gives the best picture quality as well as practical one. Thanks.

unless you care about brand that much, I wouldn't recommend canon. You're paying more for brand name. Go to best buy and check out Nikon and Sony. Those two brands have Cameras equal and better quality that canon and they're not overpriced. Sony has more high quality compact cameras where Nikon has more larger ones and you can add different lenses if you would like. If you're really set on getting a canon, get the canon EOS 7d slr. It's a nice camera even though it's overpriced
