How do I unlock my memory card on my Canon digital camera?

I have a Canon Power Shot SD1000 Digital Elph. I have a memory card that I took pictures on, and somehow the memory card is locked. I let someone hold my camera, so I don't know how it got locked in the first place.

It won't let me access my photos, and I know it's the memory card not the camera because the other memory card works.

What do I do?!?!?!

Answer
If you look at the memory card it self there should be a small switch on it. Slide it back and your ready to go!

what does it mean when your camera says memory card error?

i put my memory card in a card reader like i had did before and my computer said it had a error. i placed it back into my camera and it said there was a memory card error and that the memory card was locked. i unlocked it but now it still says memory card error. its a canon digital camera. does anyone know how to fix it?

Answer
Cards do pick up errors, that's why all the manuals try to persuade you not to store your images on it but transfer them to your computer asap.
It needs formatting.
Do you have the images backed up? The formatting process wipes the card.
