Is the Canon PowerShot SX150 IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera a good camera for film/photography?

Does it take good quality videos?
Does it have an external mic jack?

There's an "easy shooting" mode for those that want to pick up the camera and start shooting right away, allowing the camera to make all the decisions about ISO, white balance, focus, etc. There are scene and filter shooting modes that allow the photographer to select a style for their photos (monochrome, color accent, color replacement, miniature mode, macro, smile and face detection, beach and snow scenes, fireworks, etc.). For those that want more control over their photography, the camera does offer shooting modes in Manual, Program, Aperture and Shutter Priority.

Im looking to buy a high quality inexpensive digital camera, something similar to the canon powershot sx150 IS?

I want to get a new digital camera that takes very good quality pictures almost professional looking pictures. I am also not looking to spend more than 200. The cannon powershot sx150 IS is exactly what I am looking for except it runs on AA batteries and that is a big hassel to have to continue buying bateries. Any suggestions?

If you want rechargeable batteries, just buy a set of 4 AA NiMH rechargeables and a battery charger. You can get these as a kit for $20.
