canon digital camera software download image
Hardy M
I need a free software that extracts photos from a Canon EOS 300D Digital Camera. Can anyone help?
Answer
You can use the software that came on the CD's with the camera. Windows will also download if you plug the camera in via usb and power the camera on. Finally you can use a card reader to read the files off the card.

I didn't have any problem with my Canon, but I am having lots of problems with Sony digital cameras and camcorders (Sony'camcorder software even block my PC cd room when updating)
Answer
You can take off the memory card of ANY digital camera, plug it in a compatible USB card reader, connect the card reader to an open USB slot in the computer, and use My Computer (Windows) or Finder (Mac) to COPY, DELETE, and MOVE files from the memory card to the computer and vice versa and even format the memory card (as FAT32) to empty it and give you more space for new pictures. If there is a problem encountered using this method, it is usually the memory card itself at fault and the only solution is to replace it. You DO NOT need to the software that came with the camera at all. Just keep the CD in a safe place for future reference.
