My Canon 860IS Digital Camera Lens is stuck halfway. It won't come out fully when I put it on and the screen reads Lens Error, Restart Camera. Do you know how I can solve this problem? I am on a vacation and would love to get tons of pictures.

How do I get my camera lens to retract?

My Canon digital camera's lens won't retract. It's stuck sticking out and no mattter what I do it won't go back in. I think sand got stuck in it on vacation last week, and I tapped it against my desk and a lot came out, but it's still stuck. I'm going to a concert tomorrow night of course, and I need my camera to work. Are there any other things I can try?
