Any difference between the Canon in Japanese and international market?

I plan to buy a Canon digital camera (IXUS 800 IS) 6 MP but I noticed there is a version on ebay (Ixy 900i) which is the Japanese market version. Is the Ixy made in Japan and the Ixus made in China? Is there any difference in quality in that case? What do you recommend? thankx

No difference just warrenties. The IXY comes with ONLY the international warrienty while the SD cameras come with the America warriteny.

I've been looking on Ebay for this digital camera. People always ask if it's made in Japan or China. Is quality better or is it just loyalty for ones own country? Please help on this matter. Thanks Yahoo Ask members.

Canon makes cameras where it is cheapest. They do not have 1 factory in Japan and another in China making the same camera. This is a myth. Just buy the S5 if dats what U want. Old salesman trick: oh, don't get the Chinese version, you want the expensive Japanese version. If they try dat with U, find another store.
