canon digital camera how to restart image
Dude
I have a digital Canon powershot SD1100 IS that has a lens error!! When ever I turn it on it says Lens error, restart camera. I need help really bad! Because this is my 2nd camera in 3 years!
Answer
Lens errors are usually caused by some kind of damage to the camera, whether is was caused by uncontrolled gravity or by dirt or sand getting into the lens mechanism
You can call Canon and see if a factory "reset" will help(sometimes called a two button reset), but other than that you may end up at a camera urgent care center.

Can someone help me with my camera?

I have a sd870 IS canon digital camera. I went to plug in the connecting cord to upload my pics on my camera and my screen froze on the camera. I think it's because I put the wrong connecting cord in. So I switched it and it's still frozen. Do I need to take it to a camera store to get fixed? Please help!
Answer
Most Digital Cameras can be reset to all their default settings by taking a specific sequence of actions.
The first thing to try is to disconnect the camera from the computer and any power source. Then remove the batteries and wait at least 15-20 minutes before replacing them (that gives the capacitors time to discharge if they need to). Then replace the batteries and try to turn the camera back on to see if it restarts.
This will usually reset the camera settings to the factory default BUT WILL NOT LOSE any pictures on media cards. Note that the date and time MAY be reset when you do this.
If that doesn't work try to find a forum for Canon cameras and search for "Camera Reset sd870".
Good luck!
