What is the best compact digital camera for low light situations?

Looking for the best compact (non-SLR) digital camera for shooting in low light without a flash. Needs to have a street price of less than $500. I've seen the Lumix DMC-LX5 which has an f2.0 lens. Is there anything comparable to this or better on the market? Thanks.

I would suggest the Canon S95. f/2 lens, pocketable, very good image quality, and it costs about $450-$470.

I want a digital camera that takes good quality pictures and good videos but i'd like it to be at least 500 or less :)

If you want a DSLR, the only one that does video ans Stills is the Pentax KX for just under $500

if you want a M4/3rd's, you can get and Olympus E-PL1 for about $450

If you want a P&S you can get the following for around $400
