Can I return a camera I bought from Amazon at the Canon store?

I bought a Canon G12 from Amazon. I was wondering if I could return my G12 at the Canon store and get at least some of my money back?

I bought it from the company Canon on Amazon.

I want to buy a camera for more of a personal hobby rather then a profession. I am thinking about buying the Canon PowerShot SX50 HS Digital Camera but I'm not sure yet. Id like a camera that produces high quality images and has a good zoom. I don't know too much about cameras so could anyone give me some advise on which ones are the best in that price range please? Thank you :)
