I am currently in high school, and i am beginning to get into photography. i have had a Sony Cybershot DSC-S700 for a bout a year maybe and i was wanting to upgrade to a new camera. im interested in a Canon PowerShot SD600 ( http://www.amazon.com/Canon-PowerShot-Digital-Camera-Optical/dp/B000EMWBT2/ref=cm_cmu_pg_t )

What is the difference between the Canon digital EOS camera and a Canon digital Powerpoint camera? I'm just curious what's the difference is.
I meant to say Canon Powershot camera, not powerpoint.

EOS is the SLR(Single lens reflect) camera which you can change the lens. This series is for semi-professional & professional.

PowerShot (not powerpoint) is Point-&-Shoot camera which easy to use & cheaper camera.

If you are newbie and just want to fun with taking photo without learning photography technique, the PowerShot is right for you.
