Canon Digital Camera's?

Hey so I want to buy a canon camera or nikon that's affordable so i can take pictures throughout my high schools years :) I've been looking but i can't seem to find a good one. I want it to have good video, clear images, and focus because i'll be whipping it out to take random photo's alot. Opinions?

P.S. I want it to be slim, so i can carry it around easily. and price range, no more than 300 bucks.

Best would be to go and see for yourself which cameras from Canon and Nikon you like. All the cameras they make are pretty decent.

If you can spend an extra $100 somehow, the Canon S95 would be the best choice. It has great quality compared to all other point and shoot cameras (when used correctly)
