whats the difference between a canon 70D and a canon 7D?

No such model as a 70D as of yet. The 7D however, is Canon's "professional" APS-C format camera and competes directly with Nikon's D300s. The previous 50D lacks the autofocus, weather seals and build quality (among other features) to seriously compete with the Nikon D300 or D300s.

hello , I need some information as you know it is expected that canon will release four new DSLR cameras , 70D and 7D mark ii will be one of them with new features , exhibition will held in cologne called as photokina .. Now my question is i dont remember how much camera prices reduced after they announced different cameras back in 2010 but do u think canon 60D and 7D prices will immediately be reduced if 70D n 7D mark ii will be released ?

Usually the prices remain nearly as they were before, and the new camera is set at a more expensive price than its predecessor.

Then the price of both slowly drops until the predecessor is phased out.
