I am new to the DSLR camera family.?

Q. I have been using a digital camera for a while and I wanted to switch to a DSLR camera. The camera is a Canon EOS 70D. is it hard to use? I am in the ages between 10-15 and I have alot if digital camera expirence.

Answer
Patrick try finding a local camera club or photography group, or pop into a camera dealer and explain what you are wanting to do, they are able to give you a tour of the different brands and models of camera that will suit your skill level and expectations...don't be put off by your age, we all started out around your age (some even younger) and an assistant will take their time so that you are comfortable with the information that they are giving, take mum or dad along if you feel that they might try and pressure you into a sale...it's the best option for you, take your time and make good decisions, you've got plenty of time to learn your hobby.

Don't ever let people put you off...and Enjoy..!

what digital cameras do you not have to hold down the shoot button?

Q.

Answer
The Canon 70D actually will let you take a photo by touching the LCD screen.

What Canon DSLR camera should I buy?

Marie

I'm a freelance photography looking to upgrade my equipment. I want my images to be more vibrant and crisp, but I can afford a 5D Mark 2 or 3 body I currently have Canon Rebel T1i and I'm looking to upgrade. I want to try to keep the price under $800-900. I'm willing to buy new or used body what is the best camera I can get for my money? Are there any affordable but great lenses I should look at too?

Thanks!

Answer
When you compare ISO image samples from various Canon camera models (in the links below) there's absolutely no denying that a full frame camera WILL produce better image quality in regards to noise levels. So, if you need to use higher ISOs or do a lot of low light, indoor shooting, full frame is the way to go.

However, whether your images will be 'more vibrant and crisp' might also have more to do with the lens used, photographer know-how and also, post processing...

You won't see any real improvement with ISO capability if you stay with an APS-C sensor camera (e.g. EOS 7D, EOS 70D etc. because they use the same sensor). So, you're on the right track if you want superior ISO capability, particularly high ISO. Have you also looked at Canon's latest full frame camera, the more affordable EOS 6D? And it even slightly outperforms the 5D Mark III with higher ISO. It costs approx. $2000 body only, then you need extra cash for high quality lenses.

Speaking of lenses...which lenses do you own? Do you own high quality EF lenses? Do you own a prime lens? If not, you might want to consider investing in a decent lens or two before even considering a body change.

Also, what sort of post processing to you do? Do you shoot in RAW or Jpeg only. If Jpeg only...you should try to learn to shoot and post process RAW images.

The link below allows you to change and set the ISO (try 1600, 3200 and 6400). Select, then compare different camera models. Then click on various parts of the image to compare. Full frame wins...

What camera would be a good fit for this?

John

I want a nice camera, that won't break my bank. I looked at a canon eos 70d and the rebel, I'm not sure what to get. But I want nice quality images, I won't be taking videos really, and I want a camera that I can get a macro lense for. What do you think?

Answer
If you want a camera for macro photography, invest in a good macro lens rather than investing a huge amount ina camera. A good camera with a gfreat lens will be a better option for the purpose you want a cam.
I recommend canon T3i due to is high image quality and performance. It is a 18 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera and DIGIC 4 Imaging with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens.
Here is a review of a professional photographer, i hope it will help your decision:

http://www.amazon.com/review/R3AMTDCW73QB03/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B004J3V90Y&linkCode=&nodeID=&tag=arfdwh-20

It has a 18.0 MP CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 Image Processor for high image quality and speed
T3i has ISO 100 - 6400 for shooting from bright to dim light
It also has Video Snapshot features for enhanced video shooting options and has live view for better shooting options.
If you want a macro lens with the camera, go for Canon EF-S 60mm f2.8 USM Macro lens, it is suitable for canon rebels as well.

how do i record video on canon rebel t3i?

Minnie

i know how to record video but everytime i do its like weirdly zoomed up and i have to sit far from the camera like can i fix this its a wee bit annoying.

Answer
Sounds like the HD digital zoom is on.
Is there a "x3.0" on the bottom right area of the screen while you record? (or some number from 3.0 to 10)

If so, you need to hit the menu button, then select "Digital Rec. Size" in the 2nd menu tab and then turn off the digital zoom.

This is a great feature that is only found on the T3i (until the 70D comes out in September). The HD digital zoom allows you to simulate a VERY long zoom without losing any image quality. It's great!

whats the difference between a canon 70D and a canon 7D?

Answer
No such model as a 70D as of yet. The 7D however, is Canon's "professional" APS-C format camera and competes directly with Nikon's D300s. The previous 50D lacks the autofocus, weather seals and build quality (among other features) to seriously compete with the Nikon D300 or D300s.

You'll find more info on the 7D at the following sites:

Digital Single Lens Reflex?

Shamyil

hello , I need some information as you know it is expected that canon will release four new DSLR cameras , 70D and 7D mark ii will be one of them with new features , exhibition will held in cologne called as photokina .. Now my question is i dont remember how much camera prices reduced after they announced different cameras back in 2010 but do u think canon 60D and 7D prices will immediately be reduced if 70D n 7D mark ii will be released ?

Answer
Usually the prices remain nearly as they were before, and the new camera is set at a more expensive price than its predecessor.

Then the price of both slowly drops until the predecessor is phased out.
