Where can I find a good water proof camera at a decent price?

I'm planning on going to a water park this year and would like to bring my Canon digital camera but I don't want it damaged. So what's a good water proof camera I can bring but at a good price?

You have several options.

The cheapest option: Buy an disposable underwater film camera from Kodak or Fujifilm, which is essentially a disposable camera in a sealed plastic case.

Next cheapest option: Go onto eBay and look for a Canon WP-1 underwater 35mm film camera, usually used for around $20.

Next option: Find an underwater case for your existing Canon digital camera. That's what I did for my Canon point and shoot. The case cost about $125 and it's available at places like http://www.bhphotovideo.com for the Canon-branded model. However, you can also buy generic underwater soft cases for under $50 for a point and shoot. Check out http://www.aquapac.net which has cases typically sold at places like REI.

Finally, the most expensive option: a new digital camera that's waterproof. Both Olympus and Pentax make such cameras. For Olympus, look at the Olympus 1030SW or 850SW. For Pentax, try the Pentax W60 or W30.

I decided this Christmas that I want a new digital camera. Basically, price is not a problem, but I want high quality pictures and possibly movies. I'm looking for a camera that's relatively small & boxy. Not a big odd shaped camera. If I were to choose a color, it would be black. Now, I know that Canon Rebels take superb quality pictures, but I'm looking for a little digital camera that I can carry around, and isn't a hassle, like the rebel. So, a digital camera, relatively small, boxy, and black. Any suggestions? 10 points to best answer!

I am planning on buying a digital camera but i know nothing about them. So i have no idea what i should be looking for in a camera and what cameras are good and everything. if you have any suggestions of good digital cameras or and info about them like what mega pixels are and stuff please answer!! i also have a budget of highest price $200 dollars. canon is by far the best brand for digital cameras. if i were you id be looking for at least 10 megapixels, the red-eye correction feature, the blink detection feature, and face detection. the best camera with that is the canon powershot sd1200 for $200, or if you were willing to spend an extra $50 the canon powershot sd780, which has 12.5 megapixels in addition to the other features. but make sure you go to the canon website to check out the other features and the product tour and the ratings and reviews before buying.

Repairs on a digital camera are very expensive, especially considering the prices of digitals have come down drastically. When I worked in a camera store, the average repair for a digital was $200-$300 on a camera of about the same price. Seems ridiculous. Seriously, get a new one, and never ever buy a polaroid digital camera. The camera's with the least amount of repair problems would definitely be Canon, followed secondly by Nikon. I would not recommend any others.

Does any one know where i can purchase digital camera at disounted or wholesale price like canon. Is alibaba a good places there are many sellers located in China . Not feel comfortable buying anything outside of US to avoid scam/fraud.

Alibaba.com has a lot of sources but as for all other trade portals, having "Trust Pass" or Gold Membership does not guarantee that the seller is legitimate, although the chances of them being legitimate is fairly higher.

I have sources for the Digital Cameras, as I, too, source for consumer electronics. If you tell me what you're looking for, I might be able to help you find the product you want.

You can use Trade Portals to find the goods but you have to check all their details. DO NOT USE Western union as a form of payment unless you have a contact in that Country (example; China) who can help incase something goes wrong.

You may also post for help on Alibaba.com in the resources section. As for payment options, paypal is not common in China but there is something that's called Alipay.com, similar to paypal.

I also have a small list of Canon wholesalers in the US. I personally researched them, they have phone numbers and addresses. One of them is in New York. I can sell the list to you if you wish to get this information. Just send me a message.

So your price range is 1,000 bucks or so? There is no T2, but there is a T2i. And Canon makes a T3 and T3i. The T2i is older, but apparently has slightly better image quality than the T3i (but it's not a noticeable difference). If you want the flippy-screen screen, get the T3i. Also consider the Nikon D3100 and D5100

I have narrowed my digital camera purchase down to the Canon SD line. I am looking at the 850is, the 750 and the 1000. The 850 and the 750 are very close in price and the 1000 is significantly cheaper. I can't seem to find many differences between the 3 and was wondering if anyone had any experience between any of these? Thanks
