Canon SD630 VS Sony T20?

Xiaolin Y

I am considering to buy a digital camera. Could anyone give me some suggestions which is better? Thanks.

Answer
Here's a side-by-side comparison. I have not used the Sony, but have used a few Canon SD cameras (as well as several A-series...) and they are excellent cameras in their class.

You may have trouble finding the SD630 before long, but look for the SD750 to replace it. The SD630 is 6 MP instead of 7 MP, but it's also $75 cheaper!

The Sony has the advantage of image stabilization, but the lens is "slower" than the Canon's, so this consideration might just be a wash. Image stabilization is a good thing, though.
