i was ask Q with wrong way . but u solve ma problem i will go with D5000 . ( i was said cause i wasn't want to buy those 5 , 8 MP like cameras .

doesn't matter if you are Indian or not all cameras are made for all different people.
Canon and Nikon both do very well in professional photography.
I own a Canon 50D which is semi pro and it does a very good Job.
MP is not a major thing. unless you need to print a giant poster like the size of your door or bigger than that. 10MP and up is good enough. point and shot camera 6MP and up is perfect.
my Canon 50D just the body itself cost bout $1000 to $1200 U.S. dollar has 15MP, and it is Semi Pro. if you want a Pro, 5D or 1D will do so. 5D has 21MP is about $2700 and 1D mark iii with 21MPis about $8000 body itself. those are the high-end cameras.
Nikon cost about the same like the D300 semi pro close to high end $1300 and D3 is about $3700 and D3x is about $8000.
Prices for a Professional camera would be somewhere around $3000 to $8000 dollar.
Note: Good Lenses is very important. a $8000 without a good lens, the pics will come out like a normal point and shot cameras.
and sorry I'm not from Delhi so i don't know, try some online store usually cheaper.
